Cola Turka, man

Cola Turka is a cola brand from Turkish company Ülker. The television commercial features American actor Chevy Chase playing a confused American who notices his friend, wearing a stereotypically American cowboy hat, using some peculiar words from Turkish culture while drinking a can of Cola Turka.

Despite the name, the primary modern flavoring ingredients in a cola drink are sugar, citrus oils (from oranges, limes, or lemon fruit peel), cinnamon, vanilla, and an acidic flavorant.

[Chevy] Chase was one of the original cast members of Saturday Night Live (SNL), NBC’s late-night comedy television show, beginning in October 1975. During the first season, he introduced every show except one by saying, “Live from New York, it’s Saturday Night!”

The City of New York, often called New York City or simply New York, is the most populous city in the United States. Located at the southern tip of the State of New York, the city is the center of the New York metropolitan area, one of the most populous urban agglomerations in the world.

You’ll Remember Hardee’s Miss Turkey, Her Bikini, and Her Charbroiled Turkey Burger

Gizem Memiç (born May 16, 1990) is a Turkish beauty pageant titleholder who won the title of Miss Turkey 2010 on Thursday 1 April 2010. As “Miss Turkey” she was in a 2011 American television commercial for Carl’s Jr. restaurant and its sibling Hardee’s restaurants, promoting their new broiled turkey sandwiches, where they claim is under 500 calories. Gizem is seen in a bikini, eating the sandwich as she strolls down a walkway.

Several Hardee’s ad campaigns in the 2000s have been criticized by groups such as Parents Television Council for their sexually suggestive nature. Recent campaigns targeted include “More Than a Piece of Meat” featuring scantily clad women appearing to receive sexual gratification from consuming Hardee’s products, and “Name Our Holes” — an ad campaign and website promoting Hardee’s Biscuit Holes.

McRoyale without Cheese

McShawarma (shawarma served in flatbread) and McKebab (kebab served on flatbread). This was made famous in an advertisement based on the McRoyale scene in Pulp Fiction.

Shawarma (Arabic: شاورما) (Hebrew: שווארמה‎), also spelled Chawarma, Shwarma, Shawerma, Shoarma or Shaorma) is a Middle Eastern-style sandwich usually composed of shaved lamb, goat, or chicken. Less often, it may contain turkey, beef, or a mixture of meats. Shawarma is a popular dish and fast-food staple across the Middle East, and is consumed across the rest of the world as well.

In most markets unfamiliar with English measurements, the Quarter Pounder is known as the Hamburger Royale or McRoyal, or variants thereof, including “Royale with Cheese”, as famously explained in the film Pulp Fiction (although one should note that in France the official name of the Quarter Pounder with Cheese is Royal Cheese).
