Cheddar cheese was first made in Canada in the 19th century. Canadian Cheddar cheese is produced mostly by a number of large companies in Ontario, though other provinces produce some and there are some smaller artisanal producers.

While BK began its foray into locations outside of the continental United States in 1963 with a store in San Juan, Puerto Rico, it did not have an international presence until several years later. Shortly after the acquisition of the chain by Pillsbury, it opened its first Canadian restaurant in Windsor, Ontario in 1969.

In the United States and Canada, burgers may be classified as two main types: fast food hamburgers and individually prepared burgers made in homes and restaurants. The latter are traditionally prepared “with everything”, which includes lettuce, tomato, onion, and often sliced pickles (or pickle relish). A lobster roll is a kind of sandwich filled with lobster meat. A traditional lobster roll contains the fresh cooked meat of a lobster, tossed with mayonnaise and served on a grilled hot dog bun or similar roll, served so that the opening is on the top rather than on the side.

Some McDonald’s restaurants in New England and the Canadian Maritimes offer lobster rolls as a seasonal menu item, called the McLobster.

The McLobster, a lobster roll, is available seasonally in the Maritime Provinces. It is called McHomard in French.

Bob and Doug McKenzie Pizza Hut Pizza Raid, eh

Bob and Doug McKenzie are a pair of fictional Canadian brothers who hosted “The Great White North”, a sketch which was introduced on SCTV for the show’s third season when it moved to CBC Television in 1980. Bob is played by Rick Moranis and Doug is played by Dave Thomas. The duo revived the act in television commercials for Pizza Hut and the Molson Brewing Company.

The [Pizza Hut] chain was founded in 1958 by Dan and Frank Carney. Additional restaurants were opened, with the first franchise unit opening in 1959 in Topeka, Kansas.
