[A bubble bath], less ambiguously known as a foam bath, can be obtained by adding a product containing foaming surfactants to water and temporarily aerating it by agitation (often merely by the fall of water from a faucet). The practice is popular for personal bathing because the foam insulates the bath water, keeping it warm for longer, and (as a lime soap dispersant) prevents or reduces deposits on the bath tub at and below the water level (called “bathtub ring” and soap scum, respectively) produced by soap and hard water. It can also keep the body of the bather from being visible, preserving modesty while giving the appearance that a performer who is actually clothed is tub-bathing normally. Children find foam baths particularly amusing, so they are an inducement to get them into the bathtub.

“Nothing like a picnic with cool Stag Beer”

Mr. Quincy Magoo [better known as Mr. Magoo] is a cartoon character created by John Hubley in 1949, for UPA. Hubley based the character on his former professor Francis Peabody Magoun, who bore some physical resemblance to the character. Voiced by Jim Backus (also famed in popular culture for his role as Thurston Howell III in the 1960s sitcom Gilligan’s Island), Quincy Magoo is a wealthy, short-statured retiree who gets into a series of sticky situations as a result of his nearsightedness, compounded by his stubborn refusal to admit the problem, in which the affected people (or animals) think that he is a lunatic, rather than just being near-sighted.

This campaign generated a huge amount of publicity and received a Bronze Lion award at the international advertising awards in Cannes, France. Since then, Molson has transitioned from their old advertising agency Bensimon Byrne in favour of another Toronto based shop, Zig.inc
