It’s McRib Time For A Limited Time

The [McRib] sandwich test-marketed very well in Nebraska and other Midwestern markets and was added to the restaurant’s permanent menu throughout the United States in 1981. Sales were mediocre, and it was removed in 1985 after several years, only to be brought back as a limited time offering.

Barbecue sauce (also abbreviated BBQ sauce) is a liquid flavoring sauce or condiment ranging from watery to very thick consistency. As the name implies, it was created as an accompaniment to barbecued foods.

Onions are found in a large number of recipes and preparations spanning almost the totality of the world’s cultures.

Pickles may be used as a condiment on a hamburger or other sandwich, or on a sausage or hot dog in chopped form as pickle relish.

The Double Awesome KFC Double Down Sandwich

Although the Double Down has been widely ridiculed as unhealthy, NPR compared its calorie count favorably to that of McDonald’s Premium Crispy Chicken Club Sandwich. Both the grilled and fried Double Down products had nearly a full day’s worth of sodium according to the American Heart Association’s guidelines.

In the United States, the Food and Drug Administration itself does not make a recommendation [on salt consumption], but refers readers to Dietary Guidelines for Americans 2005. These suggest that US citizens should consume less than 2,300 mg of sodium (= 2.3 g sodium = 5.8 g salt) per day.
